FIP Director Jonah Johnson was born in Louisville, KY, where he lived until heading off to college. At Oberlin College he studied Ancient Greek and Philosophy, before spending a year in Leipzig, Germany as a Fulbright scholar. He received his PhD in Comparative Literature and German Studies from the University of Michigan, where he taught for courses ranging from Great Books to German 101. Jonah joined the Writing Program here at Harvard in 2009, and he currently teaches Expos 10 as well as Expos 20. When he’s not in his office on campus, there’s a good chance he’s either jogging along the river or somewhere nearby reading and writing poetry.
