You heard recently from our dean, Rakesh Khurana, about the tragic death of Luke Tang, a sophomore in the College. I am writing to follow up on that message and urge you to take good care of one another and yourselves as we all deal with this loss.
Whether or not you knew Luke, the community has been dealt a blow and it is hard not to feel shaken, confused, and sad. Please reach out to the College resources suggested by the dean should it seem helpful and do not hold back from talking to your proctor, peer advising fellow, resident dean, or me. We all want to be there for you and, as Dean Michael Smith said at Convocation, it is through connecting that we can be most effective and feel the greatest peace of mind and security.
With faith in our bonds and special prayers for Luke's family and friends.
