Required Online Trainings - Class of 2022

August 2, 2018

Dear Members of the Class of 2022:

We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus later this month. We reach out together today to raise your awareness about two important issues and to ask you to complete two online modules.

As an entering Harvard student, you are required to complete the following courses by August 17, 2018. Please use a desktop or laptop computer.

  1. Harvard Proof, an online, science-based educational course developed by our Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Services (AODS) and their Drug and Alcohol Peer Advisers (DAPAs). This course takes approximately one hour to complete.
  2. Supporting a Harassment Free Community, an online training developed by our Title IX Office. This course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
After completing these courses, we encourage you to talk with your parents or guardians about them. We hope you will discuss how you plan to handle situations involving alcohol while at Harvard and how you will contribute to supporting a campus culture that is free from sexual and gender-based harassment.

Failure to complete these trainings could jeopardize your ability to register for courses. Additionally, should you fail to complete these trainings by August 17, a notification of non-compliance will be issued and placed in your student file.

Thank you in advance for your participation. Should you have questions or concerns about these issues once you arrive on campus, please do not hesitate to contact your proctor, your resident dean, AODS, or your Title IX Coordinator.

Sincerely,

Lauren Brandt
