Hi, y’all! I’m Alyssa, a sophomore in Leverett House earning a joint concentration in Environmental Science and Public Policy and Studies of Women, Gender, & Sexuality (hopefully with a citation in Spanish). I’m originally from Mississippi, but now I spend my breaks traveling to wherever I can. I spent last summer researching sustainable development in Costa Rica, and I’m splitting this summer between teaching gender studies in Vietnam and interning on campus. During the school year, I work as a PAF and as my building manager’s assistant; I’ve also worked with multiple on-campus organizations to advocate for women and transgender/gender non-conforming people. My real passions, though, are my plants, my ever-growing collection of herbal teas, and my ongoing search for the best noodle soup in Boston. If you ever want to chat about anything, be it life at Harvard or memes (pls send me memes/vine compilations), please reach out!
