Welcome to the Yard and to Mower, a most magical place! Hailing from Pilot Mountain, North Carolina (population: 1,500), I have called Harvard home for the last 11 years, and am living proof that life is a rich, meandering, non-linear adventure. Over the last decade, I earned three Master’s degrees (MTS ’08, ThM ’09, and EdM ’12), served five years as Department Administrator in the Freshman Dean’s Office, and have been a proctor for five years. In the fall of 2017, I return to the classroom as a PhD candidate studying the intersection of religion, education, and politics. In my free time, I love traveling (summer 2017 I visited Greece, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Italy!), backcountry hiking (in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington), kayaking, baking (made-from-scratch cookies, anyone?), and sampling Boston’s amazing food scene.
