Welcome to the Yard and to Mower, a most magical place! Hailing from Pilot Mountain, North Carolina (population: 1,500), I have called Harvard home for the last 12 years, and am living proof that life is a rich, meandering, non-linear adventure. Over the last decade, I earned three Master’s degrees (MTS ’08, ThM ’09, and EdM ’12), served five years as Department Administrator in the Freshman Dean’s Office, and have been a proctor for six years. In 2017, I returned to the classroom as a PhD candidate studying the intersection of religion, education, and politics. In my free time, I love traveling (favorite spots include Greece, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Italy!), backcountry hiking (in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington), kayaking, baking (made-from-scratch cookies, anyone?), and sampling Boston’s amazing food scene.
