I grew up in Bakersfield, California (land of delicious Basque food, miles of agriculture, and country greats like Merle Haggard and Buck Owens). After a fun and eventful childhood in the Central Valley, I moved to Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA with a degree in communication studies and political science. My journey to Harvard began after I applied on a whim (the deadline was extended). I accepted and enrolled at Harvard Divinity School to pursue a Master's of Theological Studies (MTS). After meeting my life partner, great friends, and falling in love with New England seasons, I am continuing my studies here as a PhD candidate in the Study of Religion. I am an aspiring chef, music aficionado and former Limbo champion that is looking forward to welcoming and meeting the awesome Class of 2020!
