First-Year Retreat and Experience (FYRE)
Diana is the assistant director for the Office of Diversity Education and Support where she oversees the Diversity Peer Educator Program and provides staff support to the Race Relations Tutor and Proctor Program. Throughout the year, she volunteers as a first-year adviser, serves as staff adviser to the student organization Latinas Unidas, and sits on the national board for the Harvard Latino Alumni Alliance. As a former first-generation, low-income, and undocumented student, she is very excited about meeting incoming students through the FYRE program. Diana was born in Mexico and raised in the greater Los Angeles area. She studied history and Latina/o studies at Pomona College and religion, ethics, and politics at Harvard Divinity School. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking vegetarian meals, going on foodie outings, listening to romanticas, dancing to any beat, and watching films based on real-life stories.
