Lauren Brandt, Ph.D.
Lauren Brandt serves as the Associate Dean of Students within the Dean of Students Office. She oversees the work of the First Year Experience program staff and the Housing Office, and works closely with the Houses and all things related to residential life (including House Committees, HUDS, transportation, tutor trainings). She first arrived at Harvard as an undergraduate, living in Wigglesworth and then in Winthrop House. She has held numerous roles at the College, from a resident tutor and resident dean in Leverett, and then as an assistant dean within the Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct. She earned her AB in history and literature, an MA in history, and Ph.D. in American studies from Harvard, and currently teaches as a lecturer in the history and literature program, with an emphasis on questions of religion and gender within American history. She deeply enjoys helping students navigate their time at Harvard and is honored to be part of your Harvard experience. In her free time, she loves reading mysteries and Jane Austen novels, walking her dog, and spending time with friends and family.
